World Book Day & Author Visit

During our World Book Day celebrations we shared the ‘Shifty McGifty and Slippery Sam’ picture books by Tracey Corderoy and Steven Lenton. We were really excited as they were coming to visit us very soon at school.  We even got to wear our pyjamas to school!

On the day of the visit Tracey read us a story and Steven showed us how to draw Slippery and Sam and we all created our own pictures.

We all played a great racing game and the hall was very noisy! It was a fun afternoon and we all really enjoyed the visit and getting to meet the author and illustrator of these books.

Seahorses have been busy finding facts out about penguins, they used the Internet and books from the library. After the children found out some important facts they made a non-chronological report on them and Miss Coughtrey made a very sparkly display board with them.

Forest School fun…….

This week at Forest Schools we had a surprise visitor. A small lizard came to see  what we were up to. He was really friendly.

We made friendship bracelets and had some fun with the wool and making models from clay.

Hilliers school trip

On Tuesday 4th July Seahorse class visited Sir Harold Hillier Gardens near Romsey. The children had a great time, making art from natural materials, pond dipping, and exploring the gardens. Our guide Pauline was fantastic and taught us lots of interesting facts. We hope you like our photos.
