Making Scones

On Friday the 5th of December we began making scones. In groups of four we decided what flavours would be in our scones. First we followed the plain scone recipe. Next added in the our chosen ingredients. when we had rolled the dough we cut it into scone shapes. Finally they went in the oven. Last, one from every group was eaten by Mrs Spencer [to see who’s was the best.] Then we ate them all!

Macmillan Coffee Morning

At the Macmillan Coffee morning we sang two songs to the grandparents and some parents. The songs we were called Groovy Granny and another song. After the songs Luke and Logan said a little speech. Then we brought our grandparents  into the quiet area.

When they were in the quiet area the children had there treat that was cookies with yummy topping. We had 2 competitions,  the 100s and 1000s on the cake and the was another competition with coffee included. While everybody was inside some people were upstairs. Then it was time for the grandparents to leave and also some parents that was the coffee morning day.

Carnival Mask’s

In Tigers class our topic is the Brazilian world cup so we have made carnival mask’s.

You will need.

  • Card
  • Scissors
  • pencil
  • Mod rock
  • Water
  • Paint
  • Silk
  • Fingers to smoothen it down
  • Decorations
  • Ribbons
  • Glitter

With all of these things that are on the list, you will end up with a bright colourful mask. With the card and pencil draw a out line of your mask with eye’s. Then cut it out with the scissors. Put the mod rock in the water then stick it on your mask and leave it to dry. Next you will use paint to cover it with colour. Add glitter. Put on decorations to brighten up your mask. Add ribbon to hold it on your head.

PINK PANTHER DANCE!!

In PE from Mon 27th of Jan we have been putting together a crime/ detective routine to the theme tune of Pink Panther. For every different movement( e.g sneaking hiding etc) we have 8 beats. On the 3rd of Feb, Mrs Lane even dressed up as him! The whole class are enjoying it as it’s fun and active. We are carrying on next week.
