Last week we looked at measuring and found some giant foot prints. We tried to find out who left them by measuring peoples feet using non-standard measures and standard measures. It was great fun but we couldn’t find who had giant feet in school!
This week we continued our measuring and measured drawn lines in our books.

Since we planted our beans last week, they have begun to change… some of us have recorded what has been happening.
The puppet theatre has been popular this week!
We had a go at programming the Beebots around a grid, they didn’t always do what they were meant to!
It was Chinese New Year on Friday so we headed off to China! We went there on a plane and spent the day doing some Chinese activities…
We had to go through Passport Control before boarding the plane!
Here is our Plane! We had our ‘Safety Talk’ before Take Off!!
Here was our view from the Cockpit!
Here we are being served by our Trolly Dolly!
Yum – the Prawn Crackers were tasty! We were only allowed to eat them if we tried picking them up with our chopsticks!

What a busy first week back!
We kicked off the week by learning to use our new plastic slip-in wallets – here we are using them in Phonics:
It’s great to use our ‘phoneme frames’ – Look at how good we are getting at writing three letter words.
We had the Treehouse Theatre in on Wednesday – they performed ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. It was lots of fun!
We also got to learn how to play some of the board games we were given by FOWPS for Christmas.
Also this week:
We all had a go at writing our Christmas news and impressed our teachers with our sound knowledge and beautiful letter formation.
We also did some addition work in Maths!
What busy busy bees!

We shall also be taking part in Christmas maths as well as reading and phonics.
Our Christmas party is on Wednesday so remember a party outfit. If anyone can help with changing, please talk to your child’s teacher.
